Homemade Teriyaki Sauce

Make your own Teriyaki Sauce to add to your meal.

Ingredients

  • 250ml water
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce low/no salt
  • 3 tablespoons soft brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Half teaspoon ground ginger
  • Quarter teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour (mixed with cold water)

Method

Place a pan on a medium heat, add the water, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, stir for around a minute until heated through but not boiling.

Now add the cornflour flour a little at a time until the sauce has thickened, around 5 minutes or until it sticks to the back of the spoon.

I use this sauce for either dipping or for use in a stir fry.
